 Answer: In one word “No”, Lady-Bugs are available commercially on line along with the attractant which is recommended also.  Also a link is provided to purchase the Lady-bugs from a third party seller after you purchase the house first of-course. 

2) Which Lady-Bugs do you recommend?

 Answer: Convergent lady beetle, Scientific name: Hippodamia convergens which is native to California.  sure to order the Convergent lady beetle but any species will work with these houses, except for the Asian Lady bug!

 Answer:  No, the native species are harmless to humans, but Asian Ladybugs do bite humans-(hard to feel!)
